Can you guarantee my assortment will include all of the colors mentioned (cream, green, and dark brown)? No, there's not a way to guarantee what color egg your hens will lay. This assortment includes hybrid layers like the Olive Egger, which usually lays a rich green egg, but this is not a guarantee.
We also cannot guarantee that you will receive one of each of the breeds, but we will do our best to include a variety of egg layers in your assortment.
What qualifies as a premium or rare chicken breed? Rare breeds are ones that have unique, desirable traits, or some kind of historical significance. There is a wide definition of what constitutes a "rare" breed, but these are the ones specifically offered at Myers Poultry that we consider rare.
Is there any way I can choose the breeds in my assortment? No, the risk of ordering a hatchery choice assortment is that you may or may not get all the breeds you desire. If you are set on a certain breed, we recommend ordering those individually.
I'm not sure what breeds were included. Can you help me determine which breeds were sent in my assortment? We don't include that information, but our team would be happy to help you identify the breeds if you send us a few pictures.
What is the difference between this assortment and a rainbow assortment? This includes different breeds. While there may be some overlap, there are certain layers that are only included in this assortment.
I'm disappointed in my assortment. Can I make a return or exchange for different breeds? No, once you order the assortment, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for specific breeds. They are priced competitively because they are hatchery choice and based on availability.
