If you are looking for something different for your farm or backyard, look no further than the Grey Broiler chicken. This hybrid is hardy, resilient, and their plumage adds a striking look to any flock. A perfect farm-to-table bird.

The Grey Broiler is active, curious, and well-suited as a free-range or pasture-raised chickens. They are natural-born foragers.

Before placing your birds on pasture, keep your baby chicks in the brooder space for at least 3-4 weeks until they are fully-feathered. Consider the local climate conditions and the time of year before putting your chickens on pasture.

Grey Broilers stand out against traditional red broilers. This black and white chicken's feather pattern closely resembles the appearance Barred Rocks, a popular dual-purpose breed. 

Most Grey Broilers have grayish plumage with silvery white and black barred feathering. Occasionally, they may even have some red feathering mixed in. They have yellow beaks, feet, and shanks.

Their feed conversion rate is similar to the Red Bro. Growers can expect 2.32 to 2.71 between 9 to 11 weeks.

With optimal care, this attractive bird can reach a live weight of 5.78 to 7 lbs at the age of 9 to 11 weeks.
